Founder

James Clemensen-Pastor/Administrator:

Mr. Clemensen, a retired California Highway Patrol officer, along with his wife, Kathy, started Agape Boarding School in 1990 in Stockton, California. Having opened their home to foster children for several years, they saw the need for a longer term program for troubled teenaged boys. Agape acquired and moved into an old Air Force base in 1992, where the school grew to 150 students. In June of 1996, Agape Boarding School moved to the current facilities in Stockton, Missouri. Mr. Clemensen has 18 years of ministry experience.

 

 

Pastor

Frank Burton-Co-Pastor:

Mr. Burton came to Agape Boarding School from Boeke Road Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana, where he has served as an assistant pastor for 10 years. He has also served as a pastor or assistant pastor in 6 other churches. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He has his Master’s degree in Education and a Doctor of Education degree from Carolina University of Theology. Pastor Burton has 38 years of ministry experience.

 

Program Director

Rich Kaszak-Program Director:

Mr. Kaszak came to Agape Boarding School from Lewisville, Texas, where he taught history, English, and Bible at Temple Christian Academy for five years. He also served as the pastor of a church in Orland Park, Illinois for two years. He graduated in 1993 from Hyles Anderson College with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and finished his Master’s of Business Administration from Liberty University in May of 2006. Mr. Kaszak has 14 years of ministry experience.

 

Staff manager

Frank Trainer-Staff Manager:

Mr. Trainer came to Agape Boarding School from Cedar River Baptist Camp, in Letts, Iowa, where he had served as an administrator. He also served as a youth pastor in Harrisonville, Missouri for 12 years. He attended Gennessee Valley Baptist College for one year and has 19 years of ministry experience.

 

Principal

Leo Lenze-School Principal:

Mr. Lenze came to Agape Boarding School from Victory Baptist Church in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, where he served as pastor for 2 years. He graduated from Carolina University of Theology in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. Mr. Lenze has 13 years of ministry experience

 

Student dean

Brent Jackson-Dean of Students:

Mr. Jackson came to Agape from La Junta, Mexico, where he had served as a missionary for 1 year. He attended Maranatha Baptist Bible College for two years and graduated from Open Door Baptist Church Institute in 1999 with a degree in Bible. Mr. Jackson has 9 years of ministry experience.

 

Assistant Dean

Jim Blake-Assistant Principal:

Mr. Blake came to Agape Boarding School from Hot Springs Baptist Temple in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he served as an assistant pastor and evangelist for 2 years. He graduated from Calvary Baptist Bible Seminary in Eufala, Oklahoma with an Associates degree in theology in 2006. Mr. Blake has 18 years of ministry experience.
