istock_000003107252xsmall-300x199 (2)If your teenage boy, age 12-17, is out of control, angry, defiant, failing in school, hanging around the wrong crowd, or has been experimenting with life-threatening activities or substances, Agapé is here to help. We are designed specifically to work with adolescent boys who have gotten off track in life, or whose counselor or psychologist has diagnosed them with ADHD, ODD, ADD, RAD. Many of the boys in our care have anger or attachment issues which have surfaced in the teen years following an adoption, family split-up, or some other childhood trauma. Others are just rebellious, negatively influenced by peers, or have been thrown off track by minor drug or alcohol use.

Missouri Christian Boarding School that Welcomes and Works with Teenage Boys Who are Struggling

Agapé was created for and is designed to meet the needs of boys displaying behavior issues such as defiance of authority, lying, lack of motivation in academics, hanging with the wrong crowd, anger, ADHD, trying out drugs or alcohol, or otherwise following the wrong road in life that could lead to serious problems if it were to continue.

Our main focus is on dealing with behavioral issues and mentoring these boys at a very affordable price.  Agapé helps teenage boys become respectful, disciplined and educated young men.  Real change comes from our emphasis on the power of God to change lives.  And our structured environment away from their peers helps the boys learn positive new patterns and habits for living.

Missouri teens who come to  the Agapé Christian boarding school are given an opportunity to catch up and finish their high school education and prepare for college. Boys complete an accredited course of study to earn high school graduation. Boys also learn a variety of vocational skills at Agapé, including automotive repair, painting, electrical, tiling, laying carpet, cement work, construction, landscaping, welding, and more. Students are well-prepared for college or entry into initial jobs in the workforce, having acquired these skills, as well as the self-discipline that will serve them all their lives.

Residents also participate in daily activities and athletic programs. The campus includes a full-size gymnasium and well-equipped indoor recreation center; baseball, football, and soccer fields and a volleyball court and boxing arena; a fishing pond and a small lake; horse barns and an outdoor riding arena; and an in-ground swimming pool, among other facilities. The ranch also is home to a plethora of exotic animals, from alpacas to zebras.

Agapé gives teens the opportunity to turn their life around by offering a fresh start, a quality education with fully accredited academics and college preparatory studies, as well as team and individual sports and vocational training. Our belief is that a truly changed heart comes from a personal relationship with God, so introducing faith to the boys in our care is our highest calling and privilege, yet it is not forced.

Agapé is a Christian boarding school for teen boys with behavioral or academic problems.
