GRADUATION

Graduation is one of the highlights each year at Agape Christian Boarding School. Many boys have worked very hard, leading up to this moment. Many thought this day would never come-and each June it does. Young men who once allowed many distractions to side track them off the road to prosperity, now have hurdled every struggle between them and their high school education. Many parents, who have spent countless nights in prayer for their son, now with a breath of relief, watching their son earn their high school diploma.
For many this grand achievement will only be the beginning of what they will soon find to be life. The foundation of their adolescent years, now strong with a bright future and a strong base in which to build their lives. Our hope is that each graduate will never forget the trials, the effort, the diligence, and the character that it took. These are the same characteristics that will get them through other hurdles in their life. It also is important not to forget those who cheered the graduate on-his parents, and most importantly, the Lord Jesus Christ.

A second chance each student receives to go and make a difference in our world. Although we the faculty of Agape Christian Boarding School will miss each graduate, we have confidence that our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, will continue to work in their lives and lead each graduate in the way of His perfect will. We pray each student will never forget the lessons learned and encourage them to always remember…even though they didn’t think they could make it… they can. We encourage them to take this second chance and make something with their life!
Agape has been a great decision for our son. At home he was angry, suicidal, doing drugs, hanging with the wrong crowd, and cutting himself. At Agape he learned the Bible, finished high school, matured, and faced problems that we couldn't get him to face. Agape saved his life.
The deepest pain as a parent is dealing with a wayward child. Agape has been used by the Lord to make this reality much less painful in our lives. In the midst of the hurt and pain in our son's life, Agape has been Jesus' hands and feet, showing unconditional love to our son.
My life at that moment wasn't God honoring and I never truly understood what it meant to be a Christian. After being at the school for a little over a month, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and He changed my life completely from that point forward. Agape Boarding School has also taught me some valuable lessons of character and hard work.
