SAT Prep Class
We are very excited to announce that, once again, Agape will be offering a review class for students that are planning on taking the SAT (for college admission) exam in the spring. The class will consist of a total of 35-40 hours of hands-on class work which will include three timed practice tests (patterned exactly after the actual SAT). These tests will be administered during the first class to act as a diagnostic tool, approximately four weeks into the class to assess progress and just before the actual exam in preparation.
Comparable classes are offered for around $1,000 and only include the class itself! Our class will include: the class itself (briefly described above) and two “textbooks” (Cracking the SAT, 2012 Edition, The Princeton Review and The Official SAT Study Guide, College Board SAT—by the actual test authors). The total cost for the entire SAT class is only $350!
Space is limited and the registration deadline is March 9, 2012. If you have questions or would like to register for this course, please contact the SAT class insructor, Vern Sorensen Jr. You can reach him through the main office at 417-276-7215 or by email. There also are more details about the class by reading the “SAT class” letter to parents.
If you are a parent of a college bound junior or senior and would like to register your son for the SAT test only, you must check with Mr Lenze, the school principal, to see if he is academically elligible to take this test. Mr. Lenze can be reached through the main office at 417-276-7215 or by email. Please also understand that your son will only be allowed to attend if his behavior permits an off campus trip. If his behavior is such that he is cancelled from taking the test, your registration fee will be forfeited and the transportation fee will be placed in your child’s personal account. The SAT registration fee is $49.00 and the transportation fee is $65. Breakfast and lunch are included in the transportation fee. Registration deadline for the SAT exam is April 6, 2012.
If you have any other questions regarding the SAT college entrance exams, please contact the SAT prep class insturctor, Vern Sorensen, or the school principal, Mr. Lenze, at the main office.

Agape has been a great decision for our son. At home he was angry, suicidal, doing drugs, hanging with the wrong crowd, and cutting himself. At Agape he learned the Bible, finished high school, matured, and faced problems that we couldn't get him to face. Agape saved his life.
The deepest pain as a parent is dealing with a wayward child. Agape has been used by the Lord to make this reality much less painful in our lives. In the midst of the hurt and pain in our son's life, Agape has been Jesus' hands and feet, showing unconditional love to our son.
My life at that moment wasn't God honoring and I never truly understood what it meant to be a Christian. After being at the school for a little over a month, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and He changed my life completely from that point forward. Agape Boarding School has also taught me some valuable lessons of character and hard work.
