Mr. Clemensen, a retired California Highway Patrol officer, along with his wife, Kathy, started Agapé Boarding School in 1990 in Stockton, California. Having opened their home to foster children for several years, they saw the need for a longer term program for troubled teenaged boys. Agapé acquired an old Air Force base in 1992, where the school grew to 150 students. In June of 1996, Agapé Boarding School moved to Stockton, Missouri. Mr. Clemensen has 30 years of ministry experience.
