Looking for Boot Camps for Boys?
Many Parents Seek Out Boot Camps When their Boy Is Self-Destructing, But Boot Camps May Not be the Best Answer
If you are frantically looking for a boot camp for your boy, take heart, because Agapé Boarding School may be the better choice. Agapé is a very structured, disciplined and secure program, but we take into account the student’s emotional, spiritual and academic needs. Agapé is a complete and permanent solution, not a short-term fix.
If your teenage boy, age 12-17, is out of control, angry, defiant, failing in school, hanging around the wrong crowd, or has been experimenting with life-threatening activities or self-destructive behaviors, Agapé is here to help.
Agapé is designed specifically to work with adolescent boys who have gotten off track in life, or whose counselor or psychologist has diagnosed them with ADHD, ODD, ADD, RAD. Many of the boys in our care have anger or attachment issues which have surfaced in the teen years following an adoption, family split-up, or some other childhood trauma. Others are just rebellious, negatively influenced by peers, or have been thrown off track by minor drug or alcohol use.
Agape gives teens the opportunity to turn their life around by offering a fresh start, a quality education with fully accredited academics and college preparatory studies, as well as team and individual sports and vocational training.
The Agapé ampus is an amazing place with everything a boy would want, including: expansive sports facilities, huge game room, pool, horses, a climbing wall, a vast array of exotic and farm animals, a rodeo facility, rock climbing wall, and so much more. Our approach is disciplined, but loving.
Boot Camps for Boys may not help. In fact, they can cause even more problems in your teenager’s life long term
A boot camp may not be the complete solution for the needs of teens facing depression, minor self-destructive behavior, or is diagnosed with ADHD, ODD or ADD. It is simply a short turn cover-up. If your teen boy is struggling in these areas and you are looking for help for the rest of the boys life, Agapé may be a better choice.
Agapé has the right balance of spiritual emphasis, behavioral modification and counseling, vocational training and a fully accredited academic program. Whatever the need for your troubled teen, Agapé can provide the solution and resources to get your boy back on track.
Why is it Called Agapé?
Agapé is the Greek word defined as God’s unconditional love for mankind. That is what Agapé Boarding School is all about! We are a non-profit boarding school designed to show God’s love to teen boys who are struggling with behavior issues that can threaten their future. Agapé gives teens the opportunity to turn their life around by offering a fresh start, a quality education with fully accredited academics and college preparatory studies, as well as team and individual sports and vocational training.
Our Three Main Goals
1. Spiritual Growth
First, we help students to develop spiritually, which we believe will improve all other areas of the boy’s life and his relationships with others.
2. Behavioral Growth
Second, we help students to develop better behavior. Your son will learn many life skills and become a productive member of society. As his behaviors improve, he will begin to display character, discipline, and personal accountability, and he will rebuild broken relationships. We foster these changes through our structured environment, a level system for earning privileges and responsibilities; simple day to day events and responsibilities on campus that become learning experiences. Above all, we emphasize that lasting behavioral change is through a transforming relationship with Christ.
3. Academic Growth
Third, we provide fully accredited studies and individual instruction to help boys achieve academically. As students’ behavior improves, they often find new motivation in school. Your son will receive the credits needed to get back on track with his education or receive his diploma.
My grandson entered Agapé under duress at age 14, a know it all who wouldn’t go to school. The staff at this school turned him around, in effect, replacing his missing father. He graduated as valedictorian this year. I can’t say enough about how this school helped him. He has…
