Staff who are very dedicated.
Agape Boarding School is a ministry to us, not a job or career. Each one of our staff have dedicated their time to be part of the Agape Boarding School staff team. It is our desire that we give of ourselves so these young men can have an opportunity to get the help they need. Each staff is a dedicated Christian that has answered the call of God to work with troubled teens. We covet your prayers that God will continue to use us to help many more boys in the future!
Staff who are Godly
Each one of us recognize that our walk with Christ is very important and is also the key ingredient in helping others. If our walk with Christ is not right, then we will not be effective in helping the young men make the changes they need to make in their life. We acknowledge that we must have a daily personal time of devotions and prayer for us to be used by God. Our goal is for each one of us to grow in the Lord each day and be a good example for the students to follow!
Staff who are faithful
God is looking for faithful men! Our staff are very faithful. They are always there when needed. They are willing to help someone regardless what time it is. They reach out to our graduates that are looking for help as well. When a young man comes through Agape Boarding School, there memory never leaves us and we are always just a call away if needed. Our desire it be faithful to Christ by being faithful to the ministry of Agape Boarding School. We long to hear the words of Christ-“Well done thou good and faithful servant.”
Staff who are talented
It is great to have many different personalities, skills, hobbies, and interest amongst our staff. This gives us a broad base in working with many different students. Students can always find a staff member that can relate to them. They also can learn many things from the different staff. We have staff that are excellent in academics, others that are very skilled in different vocations. Students have the opportunity to learn a trade while they are here. Some of the vocations that students have learned are: painting, electrical, tiling, laying carpet, cement work, miscellaneous construction jobs, landscaping, welding, etc. You can be sure that your son will find a staff to relate also learn something from.
Staff who are experienced
The majority of our staff have served 5+ years. Many staff also come from previous ministries where they were actively working with teens. That is a lot of experience! Our staff understand the struggles that teenagers face and are able to give them counsel in overcoming those struggles.
Staff who are loving
“Agape” is a Greek word found in the Bible. It is defined as unconditional love. The greatest example of this love is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. We as a staff strive to love these young men just as Christ loves them. We ask the Lord daily to help us be the staff we need to be and that we would treat each student as Christ would. This can be very difficult at times, but we must realize that God unconditionally loved us and we are to do the same to others.
